Report on the Study Visit Conducted to Hungary Related to Ukrainian Refugees By the Ombudsman Institution of Türkiye

the previous visit was conducted. He expressed that the cooperation
of different institutions such as the Directorate General for Disaster
Management, the Police, and the Ministry of Finance is important in
managing the refugee influx. He pointed out that they have opened their
doors to everyone fleeing the war but that they act in compliance with
the Schengen rules. He stated that they have reduced the registration
duration, which took about 45 minutes at first, to 2-3 minutes with the
innovations in the system. Highlighting that they provide refugees with
all kinds of services, he elaborated that municipalities have provided
support by opening resting and food-drink places, while the government
has established reception centres.

He added that the Directorate General for Disaster Management is also
included in these processes and that it refers people who do not have any
acquaintances in Hungary or any country in Europe to hotels. Moreover,
