• Chief Ombudsman Mr. Şeref Malkoç
participated in the “Inaugural Congress
of the Conference of Constitutional
Jurisdictions of the Islamic World (CCJ-I)”
hosted by the Constitutional Court of
Türkiye on 23 December 2022 in Istanbul,
where presidents and representatives from
international organizations made presentations
and exchanged views.
• Chairman of the Turkish Office Workers
Union (Türk Büro-Sen) Mr. Türkeş Güney,
together with Deputy Chairman Mr. Nebi
Yay, Head of the Ankara Branch No. 9 Mr.
Ömer Çakmak and Ombudsman Institution
Representative Mr. Veysel Çekerek visited Chief
Ombudsman Mr. Şeref Malkoç in his office on
26 December 2022. In the meeting, in which
Ombudsman Mr. Sadettin Kalkan was also present, the demands of the employees
were discussed and views were exchanged.

9.1.6. OTHER ACTIVITIES

➢ Representing the Ombudsman Institution, Ombudsman Ms. Özlem Tunçak
attended the “Opening Meeting of the Joint Project on Improving the Effectiveness
of Family Courts: Better Protection of the Rights of Family Members” held in Ankara
on 18 January 2022 and co-financed by the European Union and the Council of
Europe, of which the Justice Academy of Türkiye is the final beneficiary.
