THE OMBUDSMAN INSTITUTION OF THE REPUBLIC OF TÜRKİYE

Malkoç explained the work of the Ombudsman Institution, which is for seeking
legal remedies, and answered questions of students by emphasizing the importance
of ombudsman clubs established in universities.
• Students of Afyon Kocatepe University
visited the Ombudsman Institution on 27
May 2022. During the visit, Ombudsman
Mr. Sadettin Kalkan, who explained the
students the work of the Ombudsman
Institution, answered the questions of the
students.

• Ombudsman Mr. Sadettin Kalkan met with the students on 10 June 2022 as a part
of the publicity event of the Gazi University Ombudsman Club.

• Within the scope of the cooperation protocols with the Ombudsman Institution,
the students of Başkent and Atılım University who performed clinical studies in the
Ombudsman Institution were presented with their certificates at the ceremonies
held on 4 February 2022 and 1 July 2022.

• Chief Ombudsman Mr. Malkoç, together with his delegation, visited Ahmet Yesevi
University Board of Trustees on 19 July 2022.

• Chief Ombudsman Mr. Şeref Malkoç held an online meeting on 20 July with the
heads of the Ombudsman clubs established at universities.

• The Ombudsman Institution participated in the 4 World Nomad Games organized
by the World Ethnosport Confederation with the slogan "We are One from
Tradition to the Future", on the shores of Lake Iznik in Bursa. The first three of
the World Nomad Games were hosted by Kyrgyzstan.
• Ombudsman Mr. Sadettin Kalkan participated as a speaker at the conference
titled "Ombudsman Institution", the first conference of the program called "Law
Academy", organized by the Inonu University Ombudsman Club on 24 October
2022.
• The students of İnönü University and the members of the Turkish National Student
Union (MTTB) Malatya Provincial Presidency visited the Ombudsman Institution
on 2 December 2022.

• The students of Yeditepe University visited the Ombudsman Institution on 2
December 2022. Ombudsman Ms. Fatma Benli Yalçın, who met with the students
during the visit, explained the work of the Ombudsman Institution, emphasized
that the Institution is one of the alternative solutions other than the judiciary, and
answered the questions of the students.
