• The fourth and final panel was moderated by Ombudsman Mr. Arif Dülger. The
Regional Ombudsman of Lazio Mr. Marino Fardelli and Member of the Office
of the Commissioner for Human Rights of Poland Mr. Maciej Grzegorz Kruk
participated in the panel as speakers.

• A bilateral meeting was held between Chief Ombudsman Mr. Malkoç and
Commissioner for Fundamental Rights of Hungary Dr. Akos Kozma during the
conference.

• In addition, a center for Unaccompanied and Immigrant Children was visited so
that foreign participants could make on-site observations, and information was
obtained from the authorities and conversations were held with the children.

• On 25 August 2022, within the scope of the EU Project, the staff of the Ombudsman
Institution were trained on Immigration and Migrant Rights in National and
International Law. At the end of the training, Ombudsman Mr. Şeref Malkoç and
UNHCR Türkiye Representative Mr. Philippe Leclerc presented their certificates to
the participants.

Study Visits

• On 11-15 April 2022, the first study visit was made to Strasbourg under the
chairmanship of Ombudsman Mr. Sadettin Kalkan. Experts from the Ombudsman
Institution Ms. Hande Karaaslan Ördek, Ms. Tuba Uludağ and Mr. Anıl Çetin
took part in the delegation. Within the framework of the study visit, the Permanent
