• Chief Ombudsman Mr. Şeref Malkoç, together with Ombudsman Ms. C. Özlem
Tunçak, visited the President of the Union of Turkish Bar Associations Atty. R.
Erinç Sağkan on 26 July 2022.

• Chief Ombudsman Şeref Malkoç attended the opening program of the 13
Ambassadors Conference themed “2023 and beyond: Wise and compassionate
Turkish diplomacy” held in Ankara on 8 August 2022. During the conference, in
which Türkiye’s ambassadors and senior managers from abroad and in the central
organization participated, evaluations were made about the issues in foreign policy
agenda of Türkiye and priorities and targets for the future were determined.
• Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Ahmet Yesevi University Mr. Muhittin Şimşek
visited the Chief Ombudsman Mr. Şeref Malkoç in his office on 1 September 2022.

attended the “Opening Ceremony of the
Judicial Year 2022-2023” held on 1
September 2022 with the participation of
President of the Republic of Türkiye, H.E.
Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Speaker of the
Grand National Assembly of Türkiye Prof.
Dr. Mustafa Şentop, President of the
Constitutional Court Mr. Zühtü Arslan,
President of Court of Cassation Mr. Mehmet Akarca, President of the Council of State
Mr. Zeki Yiğit, the presidents and members of the high courts, high-level representatives
of public institutions, members of the Supreme Court and many guests.

• Representing the Ombudsman Institution, Ombudsman Mr. Arif Dülger, attended

the 21 Turkish Accounting Congress titled “Social and Public Benefit of
Accounting in the Process of Sustainability and Technological Transformation”,
held by the Union of Chambers of Certified Public Accountants of Türkiye
(TÜRMOB) on 2-3 September 2022 at the Istanbul Congress Center.
• Deputy Minister of Interior Mr. Mehmet Ersoy visited Chief Ombudsman Mr.
Şeref Malkoç in his office to discuss the implementation of the activities in Article
1.2.f of the “Human Rights Action Plan” prepared by the Presidency of Türkiye
on 20 September 2022.
• Chief Ombudsman Mr. Şeref Malkoç, together
with the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources
Mr. Fatih Dönmez, made inspections on the
Castorone Ship at Filyos Port and observed the
works on site. Castorone Ship placed the pipes on
the seabed. The pipes will carry the Black Sea gas
to land. The Black Sea gas is the largest natural gas
reserve of Türkiye.
