“Cooperation Protocol” Between the Ombudsman Institution and Ankara
University TÖMER (February 15)

• A “Cooperation Protocol” was signed between the Ombudsman Institution and
Ankara University Turkish and Foreign Languages Application and Research
Center (TÖMER) on 15 February 2022, with the aim of increasing the quality of
Ombudsman Institution Experts and staff in the field of foreign language.
• The directors and members of the Humanitarian Diplomacy and Conflict
Resolution Strategic Research Center visited the Ombudsman Institution on 17
February 2022.

• Chief Ombudsman Mr. Şeref Malkoç participated as a speaker at the Introductory
Meeting for the Anti-Hate Crimes and Discrimination Portal and Search
Conference (NESAM) held by the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related
Communities on 21 February 2022.

• Chief Ombudsman Mr. Şeref Malkoç participated as a speaker at the conference
titled “Türkiye from February 28 to 2023” organized by the Confederation of
Public Servants Trade Unions (Memur-Sen) Eskişehir Branch and Educators Trade
Union (Eğitim-Bir-Sen) Eskişehir Branch at the Conference Hall of Süleyman
Çakır Girls Anatolian High School.
• Ombudsman Ms. Özlem Tunçak participated as speaker at the “Monitoring of
Penal Institutions in Terms of Human Rights and Criminal Justice System”
organized by the Human Rights and Equality Institution of Türkiye on 2 March
2022.

• Chief Ombudsman Mr. Şeref Malkoç participated in the “25 Traditional
Consumer Awards” program organized by the Ministry of Commerce on 15
March 2022.

• Chief Ombudsman Mr. Şeref Malkoç attended the Second Antalya Diplomacy
Forum held in Antalya on 11-13 March 2022 with the main theme of “Recoding
Diplomacy” with the participation of heads of state and government, ministers,
diplomats, business world members and members of the press and academia from
75 different countries.
• With a delegation of Experts of the Ombudsman Institution, Ombudsman Ms.
Fatma Benli Yalçın attended the “Legal Commission Meeting” organized by the
Union of Municipalities of Türkiye on 24 March 2022.

• Chief Ombudsman Mr. Şeref Malkoç attended the 49 General Assembly of the
Chamber of Forest Engineers on 26 March 2022.

• Ombudsman Mr. Arif Dülger attended the seminar on “Human Rights
Institutions, Mechanisms and Regulations” on 4 April 2022 as a speaker, within
