• The Ombudsman Institution participated in the 4 World Nomad Games
organized by the World Ethnosport Confederation with the slogan “We are One
from Tradition to the Future!”, on the shores of Lake Iznik in Bursa. The first three
of the World Nomad Games were hosted by Kyrgyzstan.

• On 6 October 2022, Chief Ombudsman
Mr. Şeref Malkoç met with the authors and
referees in Ankara who contributed to the
“Ombudsman Academic Journal” of the
Ombudsman Institution.

• Rector of Mardin Artuklu University Mr.
İbrahim Özcoşar visited Chief Ombudsman Mr.
Şeref Malkoç in his office on 11 October 2022.
• A consultation meeting was held in the Ombudsman Institution with Prof. Dr. Ömer
Özyılmaz, a member of the Presidential Education and Teaching Policies Council,
under the chairmanship of Chief Ombudsman Mr. Şeref Malkoç, on 14 October
2022, to discuss the “Education Problems in Türkiye and Solution Proposals”.

• Ombudsman Ms. Özlem Tunçak participated in the “International Day for the
Elimination of Violence against Women” Program held at the Istanbul Congress
Center by the Ministry of Family and Social Services under the auspices of President
Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on 25 November 2022.
• Chief Ombudsman Mr. Şeref Malkoç attended the “International Strategic
Communication Summit”, which was held by the Republic of Türkiye Directorate
of Communications with the theme of “Strategic Communication in the Age of
Uncertainty” on 2 December 2022 in Istanbul, where many topics from combating
disinformation to a citizen-oriented communication approach, from digitalization
to public communication were discussed and where mutual experience sharing is
made about the past, present and future of communication.
• Assistant Experts of the Republic of Türkiye Directorate of Communications visited
the Ombudsman Institution on 6 December 2022.
• Chief Ombudsman Mr. Şeref Malkoç attended the TRT World Forum 2022,
organized by TRT World on 9-10 December 2022, with the theme of “Shaping the
Future: Uncertainties, Reality and Opportunities”, where academics, journalists,
policy makers and non-governmental organization officials from all over the world
came together.

• Ombudsman Ms. Özlem Tunçak participated in the “2022 Meeting of the 16
Violence Against Women Monitoring Committee” organized by the Ministry of
Family and Social Services on 15 December 2022.
