• In 2022, within the scope of
spreading the culture of seeking legal
remedies among university students with
provincial study tours, Chief Ombudsman
Mr. Şeref Malkoç visited Eastern
Mediterranean University on January 13,
Girne American and Final International
Universities on January 14, Alanya
Alaaddin Keykubat University on March 10, Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University
on March 23, Amasya and Tokat Universities on May 18, Maltepe and Yalova
Universities on June 2, Erzincan Binali Yıldırım University on November 21,
Tunceli Munzur University on November 22, Elazığ Fırat University November 23.
"Ombudsman and Türkiye's 2023 Goals Conferences" were held at universities,
with the participation of university rectors, faculty members and students, related to
the concept of Ombudsman, the functioning and activities of the Ombudsman
Institution.
• Chief Ombudsman Mr. Şeref Malkoç visited Ankara University Faculty of Law on
18 January 2022 to examine the work of Ankara University National Center for the
Sea and Maritime Law (DEHUKAM) and to strengthen inter-institutional ties.

• With the cooperation between the Ombudsman Institution and UNICEF, the
"Peer Trainer Training Program" organized for ombudsman club students was
held in Ankara on 24-27 February 2022 within the scope of the "Ombudsman
Institution and Child Rights Education" activity plan.
• Ombudsman Mr. Sadettin Kalkan participated as a speaker at the conference
titled “28 February Postmodern Coup and Women's Rights” organized by the
International Law Students Community at Selçuk University Faculty of Law on
3 March 2022.
• In order to raise awareness about xenophobia and hate crimes abroad, to provide
basic information about the subject and to convey what legal mechanisms can
be used against such actions and proceedings, on 5 March 2022, a training on
“Hate Crimes and Discrimination” was held for the students of the Presidency of
Religious Affairs International Theology Program.
• Chief Ombudsman Mr. Şeref Malkoç attended the opening ceremony of the
DAKAF'22 Eastern Anatolia Career Fair held in Erzurum on 7 March 2022, with
the support of the Presidential Human Resources Office and hosted by Atatürk
University.
• Chief Ombudsman Mr. Şeref Malkoç attended as a speaker to the opening of the
Career Days in Law’22 Program organized by TOBB University of Economics and
Technology Law Society on March 17.
