Case Summary
In summary, the applicant's attorney requested from the Family Court for a change
of workplace and the request was found appropriate and it was decided to change
the workplace in the province where she was located, but the court decision was not
fulfilled by the Administration and his attempts in this direction were inconclusive,
and requested the implementation of the injunction and the necessary actions be taken
against those responsible.
While the investigation and research was continuing, information and documents
were requested from the administration and in the response letter received from the
administration, the extension of the temporary assignment of the applicant was not
approved due to the high level of staffing needs in the University hospitals due to
the Covid-19 pandemic, but she was assigned to the Faculty of the University, which
is located in another campus and does not work at night, since it was stated that
the decision of the Court was implemented, an Amicable Settlement Decision was
made within the framework of the relevant legislation provisions for this part of the
application.
Activities on the Field of Women's Rights
• Our Institution participated in the Local Public-Civil Society Cooperation
Development Meeting in Combating Violence Against Women held in April 2021.
• A Monitoring and Evaluation Form was prepared within the scope of the activities
of the National Action Plan for the implementation of the National Action Plan
for Combating Violence Against Women (2016-2020), which was prepared by
the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services with the contribution and
participation of all relevant parties, it was submitted to the Ministry together with
the information note including the activities carried out by our institution in the
field of women's rights in 2020.
• Chief Ombudsman of Türkiye Mr. Şeref Malkoç made a presentation on 28 April
2021, Wednesday about the findings of the Institution within the scope of violence
against women and domestic violence, and the related institutional decisions, to the
Turkish Grand National Assembly Invstigation Commission which was established
to investigate the causes of violence against women in all aspects and to determine
the measures to be taken.
• Ms. Celile Özlem Tunçak, Ombudsman responsible for women's rights, represented
our Institution at the 4th National Action Plan Meeting on Combating Violence
