from his attempts on the subject. As a result of the correspondence with the General
Directorate of Civil Registration and Nationality , amicable settlement was decided
upon the notification that the request subject to the application was resolved.

FORESTRY, WATER, ENVIRONMENT AND URBANISATION

Under this topic, applications related to urban transformation, rental assistance requests
related to this, issues related to zoning and settlement works, and applications for
environmental pollution are predominantly received by the OI.

Case Summary

In an application filed regarding the violation of the right to live in a healthy environment
due to the environmental pollution caused by the excavation area right next to place
of residence, OI concluded that, as a result of its investigation, the Metropolitan
Municipality should increase the inspections in order to prevent uncontrolled waste
disposal, and administrative sanctions and, if necessary, criminal proceedings should be
applied, made recommendations to the administration.

HEALTHCARE

OI received applications on various subjects, such as in the field of health, wrong
treatment, health care is not provided as required, that the health personnel do not
exhibit attitudes and behaviors as required, PCR test and the obligation to wear a
mask are illegal, unable to make an appointment with the hospital, as a result of the
investigation made by SSI unfair debt accrued, private hospital overcharged, although
he had a driver's license before, it was unfairly decided that he would not be a driver
due to his disability, the disability health report with the phrase "continuous" is
not registered in the national disability data bank, cost of the drug required for the
treatment is not covered by the SSI, travel expenses payments are not updated by SSI,
daily expense payments are made incompletely by SSI, unfairly charged in the medical
board report, Turkish Dentists Association acted against the legislation, despite having
a chronic disease in the COVID-19 risk group, which is the basis for administrative
leave, a "COVID-19 chronic risk status report" was not given, consumables (such as
gloves, alcohol, cotton) required to be provided by the Provincial Health Directorate
for the examinations performed by the family medicine units are not provided, that
the prisoners housed in the penal institution are not properly benefited from health
services.

Some of these applications were settled amicably as a result of the initiatives of our
Institution. Within this framework, registration of the medical board report to the
National Disability Data Bank (UEVB), audit of the private health institution that is
