Unlike previous years, in 2021, applications due to the pandemic process in the field
of education have intensified, these applications were mostly complaints about distance
education applications.
Case Summary
Apart from the Presidency of the Student Selection and Placement Center (OSYM),
the exams of the Ministry of National Education, which conducts central exams in our
country, are frequently the subject of application to our Institution. In one of them, the
parent of a student with dyslexia, which is expressed as a learning disability or reading
disorder, said that his child had to sit one meter away from the instructor due to the
pandemic in the 2020 Primary and Secondary Education Institutions Scholarship
Exam, no booklet was placed in front of him, therefore he could not see, follow up with
his eyes and underline the questions. He requested that the grievance he experienced be
remedied and that necessary arrangements be made in this regard.
Our Institution examined the application, as a result of the investigations, found the
applicant's claim justified, has given a recommendation to the Ministry of National
Education to take measures to eliminate the grievances that may occur in the future.
Case Summary
Considering the applications for additional time requests due to the pandemic
in graduate education In the additional paragraph (eighth paragraph) added on
10.06.2021 to the 35th article of the Graduate Education and Training Regulation,
one semester, upon request, by higher education institutions for graduate education
students at the thesis stage in case of disasters and pandemics, depending on the stage
of the disaster or pandemic, one more semester in case they apply again a maximum
of two additional semesters may be granted, it has been regulated that these additional
periods given will not be counted from the maximum period.
To our institution, objection applications of those whose applications to higher
education institutions were rejected, in order to benefit from this additional period
of time application were made, as a result of the investigation, it has been determined
that, advisory decisions have been made regarding these applications and the relevant
administrations have complied with these decisions.
ECONOMY, FINANCE AND TAX
Our institution receives applications within the scope of economy, finance and tax
issues.
When we look at the applications made to our institution on the aforementioned
subject, the applications regarding the works and transactions made by the tax-related
institutions are predominant. In these applications, people emphasized that mistakes
