THE OMBUDSMAN INSTITUTION OF THE REPUBLIC OF TÜRKİYE

Regarding the application, on securing the rights of the applicant child set out in the
Constitution, in order to take the necessary measures to ensure the cooperation at
the national and local level of the different bodies responsible for taking appropriate
administrative measures, it was decided to send it to Gaziantep Provincial Directorate
of National Education, Gaziantep Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundation and
Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality. In the official letter of Gaziantep Metropolitan
Municipality dated 02.06.2021, it was informed that the Social Assistance and
Solidarity Foundation Presidency was contacted and the applicant child was provided
with tablet support.

Activities for the Implementation of the OI Children's Rights Strategy Children's
Rights Strategy

Joint activities in the field of children's rights in cooperation with the United Nations
Children's Fund (UNICEF) were carried out in accordance with the 2021 Work Plan.

After the end of the full lock down period under the pandemic conditions, the work
plan was put into practice by focusing on community outreach activities within the
scope of the OI Children's Rights Strategy, in accordance with the mask, social distance
and necessary hygiene conditions by taking into account the best interests of children.
The Training Program on Strengthening the Communication and Relationships of the
Ombudsman Institution with Children and Youth continued in 2021 by providing
training to the determined child groups in coordination with different administrations
such as the Ministry of Family and Social Services, the Ministry of Youth and Sports,
and local administrations.

and introduced to the public for the
first time on 22 April 2014 by our
Institution, which receives direct
applications from children, was
renewed with institutional resources
in line with the current needs and on
03.08.2021, new OI children's website
was launched.

Within the framework of the Ombudsman Institution's Program to Strengthen
Communication and Relationships with Children and Youth, the “OI and Children's
Rights Training Program” was held in Mardin on 21-22 October 2021 with the
