Placement activities
• Within the framework of the placement activities, 15 Ombudsman Experts
participated in internship activities for 1 month each in various EU institutions and
Ombudsman/National Human Rights Institutions in the EU member countries
such as Luxembourg, France, Romania, Malta, Bulgaria, Slovenia, to learn good
practices of relevant institutions on-site and for experience sharing.
Regional meetings

• Regional meetings were held in Manisa on 26-27 January 2022, in Tekirdağ on
24-25 February 2022, in Zonguldak on 24-26 March 2022, and in Diyarbakır
on 4 November 2022 in Elazığ, in Erzincan on 21 November 2022 and in Elazig
on 23 November 2022.

“Project on Improving the Effectiveness of the Administrative Judiciary and
Strengthening the Institutional Capacity of Council of State”

While the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Türkiye is the final beneficiary of
the "Project on Improving the Effectiveness of the Administrative Judiciary and
Strengthening the Institutional Capacity of Council of State" carried out by the
Council of Europe, the Ombudsman Institution is among the target groups of the
project.

• On 27 June 2022, within the scope of the administrative justice project, national
and international experts visited the Ombudsman Institution and received
information about the activities of the Institution, especially in the dissemination
of good administration principles among the public entities. Expert Ms. Hande
Hazneci and Expert Ms. Elif Açıl participated in the relevant meeting.

• Expert Ms. Elif Açıl from the Ombudsman Institution participated in the 7 th
Executive Board Meeting held on 30 June 2022.

• On 1 July 2022, the Internal Evaluation Mechanisms Workshop was held and
Expert Ms. Elif Açıl from the Ombudsman Institution participated.

• On 7 November 2022, with the participation of international experts, the "Final
Report Preparation Meeting" was held in the Ombudsman Institution and Ms. Elif
Açıl and Mr. Emre Can Yumuş from the Ombudsman Institution attended.

• Ms. Elif Açıl from the Ombudsman Institution attended the 8 Executive Board
Meeting on 13 December 2022.

• On 14 December 2022, a workshop on “Recommendations Regarding Turkish
Administrative Judicial System” was held, and Ms. Elif Açıl participated.
