founding purpose of the Ombudsman Institution and in order to properly express its
contributions and services, the “Amicable Settlement Decision” has been added and
so, the framework of the culture of reconciliation has been made more meaningful.

The Number of Files Resolved in this context was 1,887 in 2017, 2,498 in 2018,
2,707 in 2019, 2,867 in 2020, and 3,160 in 2021. In 2022, the total "Number of
Files Resolved" is 2,194, and 1,419 of which were resolved through the Amicable
Settlement Decision and 775 through the Referral Decision.

On the other hand, the Ombudsman Institution has resolved a total of 15,861 applications
through amicable settlement since 2013, when it started receiving complaints.
