THE OMBUDSMAN INSTITUTION OF THE REPUBLIC OF TÜRKİYE
➢ in this context, the legal aid and guidance activities that has been provided
to 162,143 people and 18,094 decisions that has been issued in 2022 are an
indication that the Ombudsman Institution is a transparent and accountable
administration that puts people at the center. In addition, as a result of these
activities, the culture of seeking legal remedies has been expanded, tens of
thousands of lawsuits against the administration have been prevented, and the
citizens’ problems have been solved. The Ombudsman Institution has ensured
the participation of the citizens in the state administration beyond the elections
held every five years. For this reason, the Ombudsman Institution has been
an instrument of direct democracy and has ensured the strengthening of
democracy.
