Online Meeting with the Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights of
Ukraine (October 24)
On 24 October 2022, Chief Ombudsman Mr. Şeref Malkoç had an online meeting with
the Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights of Ukraine Mr. Dmytro Lubinets.

Online Meeting Organized by the Office of the Human Rights Commissioner
of Kazakhstan (December 12)

On 12 December 2022, Chief Ombudsman Mr. Şeref Malkoç attended via video
conference to the meeting organized by the Office of the Human Rights Commissioner
of Kazakhstan on the occasion of the World Human Rights Day.

Visit of the Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of the Slovak Republic to
the Ombudsman Institution (December 2022)

On 27 December 2022, Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of the Slovak
Republic Ms. Milica Serdarevic, visited the Ombudsman Institution and had a meeting
with Ombudsman Ms. Özlem Tunçak. During the visit, the work of the Ombudsman
Institutions of the two countries and the issues related to the International Ombudsman
Conference to be organized by the Ombudsman Institution of Türkiye were discussed.
9.2.8 OTHER ACTIVITIES

• The Ombudsman Institution has attended and contributed to Economic Cooperation
Organizations Regional Planning Council (RPC) meetings, and to the Technical
Assistance and Information Exchange instrument of the European Commission
(TAIEX), Subcommittee No. 8, #OurCommonFuture Digital Communication
Campaign meetings as well as to the Fundamental Rights Sector Coordination,
Implementation Review Meetings (IRM), Fundamental Rights Sub-Area Sectoral
Monitoring Committee, IPA III meetings within the framework of EU funded
projects.
• Information and document requests received from public institutions and
organizations, particularly from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Presidency for
EU Affairs and the Ministry of Justice, regarding the activities of the Ombudsman
Institution within the framework of international cooperation, were met, and
contributions were made to the reports prepared within this framework. In this
context:

➢ The Ombudsman Institution contributed to the 2021 Final Report prepared by
the UN Türkiye Resident Coordinator Office within the scope of the monitoring
and evaluation process of the "United Nations Sustainable Development
