THE OMBUDSMAN INSTITUTION OF THE REPUBLIC OF TÜRKİYE

➢ Visit to Azerbaijan (September 2021)
Chief Ombudsman of Türkiye and the President of the Organization of Islamic
Countries Ombudsman Association, Mr.Şeref Malkoç visited Azerbaijan on 14-19
September 2021 upon the invitation of the Ombudsman of Azerbaijan, Ms.Sabina
Aliyeva. Besides the Turkish Ombudsman Institution Delegation, Mr.Malkoç was
accompanied by the Advisor to the Federal Tax Ombudsman of Pakistan, Mr.
Muhammad Javed Ghani. During the visit, an on-site investigation was realized on the
liberated lands of Azerbaijan including the minefields, and the civilian residential areas
attacked during the war between Armenia and Azerbaijan in 2020.

➢ Meeting with Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights in
Antalya (September 2021)

Within the framework of the cooperation
agreement signed in 2018 between the
Ombudsman Institution of Türkiye and
the Office of the Ukrainian Parliament
Commissioner for Human Rights,
Chief Ombudsman Mr. Malkoç and the
Ukrainian Commissioner for Human
Rights, Ms. Liudmyla Denisova came
together in Antalya on 24-25 September
2021.

Within the working visit to Antalya, meetings were held with the Rector of Antalya
Science University, Prof. Dr. İsmail Yüksek, the Head of Association of Journalists, Mr.
Mevlüt Yeni, and the Chief Public Prosecutor of Antalya, Mr. Halil İnal.
