as a speaker to the “Global Parliamentary
Migration Conference” organized jointly with
the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye
and the Inter-Parliamentary Union on June
20-21.

Discussion of the 2023 Budget Proposal of the Ombudsman Institution in the
Planning and Budget Commission (October 27)
Chief Ombudsman Mr. Şeref Malkoç gave
information about the activities of the
Ombudsman Institution in 2022 and the
planned activities for 2023 by making a
presentation on the 2021 Final Account of
the Ombudsman Institution and the Budget
Proposal for 2023 at the Plan and Budget
Commission meeting of the Grand National
Assembly of Türkiye on 27 October 2022.
During the discussions of the commission, the deputies showed great interest in the
activities of the Ombudsman Institution.

Discussion of the Ombudsman Institution's 2023 Budget Proposal at the Plenary
Session of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye (December 6)

2023 Budget Proposal of the Ombudsman
Institution and the Final Account for 2021,
which were accepted by the Plan and Budget
Commission, were discussed and accepted at
the Plenary Session of the Grand National
Assembly on 6 December 2022. The
importance and activities of the Ombudsman
Institution were praised by the deputies who
took the floor at the Plenary Session, and
suggestions were offered to the Ombudsman Institution to become more active.
