Speakers of the session on Human Rights Issues in War, Conflict And Migration Environments
Ombudsman of Türkiye, Ms. Celile Özlem Tunçak, moderated the session on
human rights in War, Conflict, and Migration.
Starting her speech by greeting the guests, Ombudsman of Türkiye, Ms. Celile Özlem
Tunçak stated that there are fifty million children migrated or forcibly displaced to-
day and that these traumas will negatively affect the future of the world. Mentioning
the need for human rights defenders to take responsibility for this issue, Ms. Tunçak
opened the session by stating that as the human rights defenders of their own coun-
tries, the participants are expected to share their experiences in solving this impor-
tant problem in terms of women, children and the people with disabilities, who are
disadvantaged groups in conflict and migration environments.
