attended as a speaker to the Round
Table on the “Role of Ombudsman and
Civil Society Organizations in Promotion
of Good Governance” organised by the
Office of the Commissioner for Human
Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of
Azerbaijan on 07 December 2021. She
shared the experiences and activities of the
Ombudsman Institution of Türkiye in this
subject.
➢ Activities within the establishment of the Ombudsman Association of the
Turkic Speaking

Online meeting

The Chief Ombudsman of Türkiye Mr. Şeref Malkoç held an online meeting with the
participation of Ombudsmen of Turkic speaking countries on the establishment of the
Ombudsman Association of the Turkic Speaking Countries on 14 December 2021.

Participants of the meeting
included Ombudsman of
Türkiye, Ombudsman of
Azerbaijan, National Human
Rights Center of Uzbekistan,
Ombudsman of Uzbekistan,
and the Ombudsman of
Kazakhstan.
Also, on 27 December 2021, Chief Ombudsman of Türkiye, Mr. Malkoç held an
online meeting with the Ombudsman of Uzbekistan, Ms. Feruza Eshmatova and
discussed the draft Statute of the Association to be established.
